eduCam Swiss

On 20 March 2017, both school associations, Hfam - Conference of the Higher Technical Colleges of Alternative Medicine (founded in 2009) and VSNS - the Association of Swiss of Schools of Naturopathy (founded in 2003), merged to create the joint Association of Technical Colleges of Naturopathy Switzerland - eduCAM Swiss.

The aims of eduCAM Swiss are:

to represent the interests of naturopathy (alternative medicine, complementary therapy or similar), the schools of naturopathy and the trainees in the field of health and educational policy;
to actively participate in the creation and further development of recognised occupational profiles and professional qualifications in the area of naturopathy (University of Applied Science, Higher Technical College, University of Public Policy etc.);
to promote social and political recognition of methods and training in naturopathy in the non-formal arena (without a recognised qualification);
to campaign for an acceptable functional, liberal and economically viable framework for schools of naturopathy;
to cooperate with public authorities and administrative bodies (SBFI, OdA‘s, GDK, EDK, cantonal health and education authorities, amongst others) as well as private organisations for health and education (professional associations, EMR, health insurance companies, school associations, regional language associations, amongst others) to protect our common interests;
to exchange information and experience and work together with the members to the benefit of all parties;
to promote awareness and draw the focus of the public onto naturopathy, especially in the area of professional vocational education and training
